Letter-writing is a skill that can be developed with practice. There are generally two types of letters: Formal—which are written to communicate official business and information; Informal—which are personal letters to communicate with friends and family. Formal letters are sent when we need to write to various public bodies or agencies for our needs in civil life. For example, We may need to ask for a certificate or inform you of a change in your address. A letter is usually one of a series of exchanges between two people or parties.
